LEVER AI — CAPABILITY

YouTube Intelligence

Know what's working on YouTube before your competitors do.

What it does

LEVER uses the YouTube Data API v3 combined with Gemini's native video understanding to search YouTube, pull full video metadata, fetch transcripts, and analyze content — all from a plain-English request in Slack.

Paste any YouTube URL and LEVER returns a full summary, the complete transcript, and engagement data: views, likes, duration, and channel details. No manual note-taking, no scrubbing through a 40-minute video to find the two minutes that matter.

Beyond single videos, LEVER can analyze entire channels and playlists, surfacing patterns across a creator's content library rather than just one upload.

How it works

  1. You share a YouTube URL, channel name, or search query in Slack.
  2. LEVER queries the YouTube Data API v3 for metadata: title, view count, like count, duration, publish date, and channel info.
  3. The video transcript is fetched (when available) and passed through Gemini's native video understanding model.
  4. LEVER generates a structured summary: key points, notable quotes, and a condensed narrative of the content.
  5. For channel or playlist requests, LEVER aggregates data across multiple videos to surface trends — what's getting views, what topics repeat, what formats perform.
  6. Results are posted back to Slack in a clean, scannable format ready to act on.

Who it's for

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to provide the video file?

No. Just share the YouTube URL, and LEVER pulls the data directly from YouTube's API and Gemini's video understanding — no downloads required.

Can it analyze a whole channel, not just one video?

Yes. LEVER can pull metadata and trends across a channel or playlist to surface what's consistently performing well.

Does it work on videos without captions?

Gemini's native video understanding can still process and summarize video content even when a formal transcript isn't available, though transcript accuracy is best on videos with captions.

Is this useful for competitor research?

Yes — it's one of the most common use cases. Paste a competitor's top video and get the full breakdown in seconds instead of watching it manually.

How current is the data?

Metadata (views, likes) reflects the live numbers on YouTube at the time of the request.
